COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers awarded contract to transport Vito FPU to the Gulf of Mexico

COSCO SHIPPING Specialized has been awarded a transportation contract by Shell for the Vito floating production unit (FPU).  The integrated Vito FPU will be fabricated in Singapore and then transported to the Gulf of Mexico onboard COSCO’s 98,000mt dwt Xin Guang Hua.  The Vito contract is the third project to be awarded to COSCO SHIPPING since the establishment of an enterprise frame agreement between the two companies in 2014.

“We are thankful that Shell has once again put its trust in COSCO SHIPPING Specialized to successfully execute the transportation of Vito.  Our team looks forward to working together to ensure the safe delivery of Vito to the Gulf of Mexico.” says Josh Wilson, VP Business Development – COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Transport.

COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Transport, with locations in Houston and Rotterdam, is responsible for the marketing, project management, and engineering for COSCO SHIPPING Specialized’s fleet of semi-submersible vessels.
