COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers safely delivers Shell’s Appomattox hull to Ingleside, Texas U.S.A.

After nearly four years of working together with Shell Offshore Inc (Shell) in preparation for sail away from Geoje, South Korea, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized’s (COSCO) M/V Xin Guang Hua safely delivered Shell’s 40,335mt Appomattox hull to Ingleside, Texas, on October 5th. The Appomattox hull is the largest and heaviest cargo transported to date by COSCO’s fleet of semi-submersible heavy lift vessels.

Ensuring safe delivery of the hull was of paramount importance to this project, and the Shell and COSCO project teams worked together seamlessly to make certain that this would be achieved.

“We are very proud to have worked closely with Shell and be part of the Appomattox project’s overall success.” states Josh Wilson, V.P. Business Development for COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Transport.
